Terms of Service
Last updated: May 27, 2026
These terms govern your use of Gatefold, operated by Gain Karma Holdings, LLC ("Gatefold," "we," "us"). By creating an account, accepting these terms during sign-up, or using the service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use Gatefold.
The service
Gatefold lets you publish documents as gated, branded, trackable web pages. You are responsible for the content you upload, for having the rights to share it, and for the use you make of the sharing, gating, e-signature, and email features.
Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
- Gatefold is paid-only. Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle, depending on the option you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period; it is not renewed after that.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling stops future charges; we do not prorate partial periods.
- Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; your card details are handled by that provider, not stored by us.
Acceptable use — prohibited content
Gatefold is a document-sharing service for legitimate business and personal use. You must not use Gatefold to upload, store, host, share, link to, or otherwise distribute any of the following content:
- Illegal content. Anything unlawful under U.S. federal law or under the law of any jurisdiction in which you, the recipient, or the content's subject resides — including but not limited to fraud, securities violations, money laundering, controlled substances, weapons trafficking, terrorism, and theft of trade secrets.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. This is a zero-tolerance category: violations are reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, and the account is permanently terminated without refund.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfakes, or sexual content depicting identifiable real people without their verifiable consent.
- Content that harms or threatens others — including threats of violence, incitement to violence, doxxing, stalking, harassment, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Hateful content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
- Malware, exploit code, phishing kits, or credential-harvesting pages, and any content intended to compromise computer systems or steal information.
- Infringing content. Material that violates copyright, trademark, trade secret, publicity, or privacy rights you do not hold.
- Regulated personal data you are not authorized to share — including health records (PHI), payment card data (PCI), government-issued identifiers, or biometric data — unless you have a documented legal basis and have obtained any required consents.
- Spam. Don't abuse the gating, link, or email features to send unsolicited bulk messages.
You also agree not to attempt to bypass security, scrape the service, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with other customers' use of it.
Enforcement
For suspected violations of these terms, we may — with or without notice, and at our sole discretion — take any of the following actions: immediate suspension or termination of your account, destruction of the documents and content associated with the account, preservation of records, and reporting to law enforcement. For severe violations — especially CSAM — we will act immediately and without refund, and will report to NCMEC and law enforcement.
We are not obligated to tell you the reason an account was suspended, terminated, or cancelled, and we are not obligated to give advance notice. We are not obligated to monitor content proactively, but we may review content that is reported or flagged by automated systems. Suspension or termination for a violation does not entitle you to a refund.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant Gatefold a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate the service for you (for example, to render a document as a gated page, deliver it to a recipient you designate, or run analytics you have enabled). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies retained for legal or backup purposes for a limited period.
Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before a claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Indemnity
You will indemnify Gatefold against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
